Verify independently

You don’t need to trust our browser tool either. The exact algorithm is:

Recompute SHA-256(secret + ":" + competitionId) and confirm it equals the published commitment hash.
Recompute the SHA-256 of the canonical entry list (each entry as ticketNumber:ticketId, newline-joined) and confirm it equals the published pool hash.
Fetch the committed beacon round directly from drand and confirm the randomness value matches what’s published here.
Recompute HMAC-SHA256(key=secret, msg=poolHash|round:beaconValue|competitionId) and confirm it equals the published result value.
Recompute the winning index by 56-bit rejection sampling over HMAC(secret, resultHex:i) for i = 0, 1, 2, … and confirm it selects the published winning ticket.

scripts/verify-draw.mjs in the PrizeProof repository runs exactly this algorithm from the command line, independent of this website.
